RESIDENTIAL CONTRACT SECURE JUVENILE FACILITY: Interested concerns having the ability to provide residential contract secure juvenile facility services for male and female Juvenile Federal offenders are requested to give written notification (including telephone number and a point of contact) to the Contracting Officer listed in this notice. Services required include care, custody, control, accountability, and treatment, to include furnishing of subsistence and medical services, except the expense of hospital, surgical, prescriptions, and dental treatment. The services described shall be in accordance with the Bureau of Prisons' Statement of Work. Location of facility shall be in either the District of Arizona or District of New Mexico. The facility shall be located within an area that includes Phoenix, Arizona to Tucson, Arizona; and Las Cruces, New Mexico to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The boundary shall be limited to 75 miles west of Interstate 10 in Tucson, Arizona to 75 miles west of Interstate 17 near Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, the boundary shall extend no further than 75 miles east of Interstate 25 near Las Cruces, New Mexico and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Estimated total number of male inmate days is a minimum of 3,103 to a maximum of 6,388 for the six-month Base Period; and a minimum of 6,205 to a maximum of 12,775 for the four one-year option periods. Estimated total number of female inmate days is a minimum of 548 to a maximum of 913 for the six-month Base Period; and a minimum of 1,095 to a maximum of 1,825 for the four one-year option periods. The estimated RFP issue date is o/a April 13, 1998; the estimated closing date is o/a June 12, 1998. The contract Base Period is six months (April 1, 1999 through September 30, 1999) with four one-year option periods to renew (October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2003). An Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity type contract is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this Agency. No collect calls will be accepted.
