Specialist, Laura Haverlock at 805-277-3900 The Air Force Flight Test
Center, intends to award a follow-on contract to Lockheed Martin
Tactical Aircraft Systems as they are the only contractor who could
meet the Governments requirement in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (1),
pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other type
of service will satisfy agency requirements". A sources sought synopsis
was issued on 23 December 1997 and no responses were determined able to
meet the Government's requirement other than Lockheed Martin Tactical
Aircraft Systems. The type of contract will be a fixed priced
Indefinite Quantity contract. The period of performance will be a
three-year base period with one two-year priced option. All interested
sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirement. No telephone requests accepted. Only written or fax
request are acceptable. This notice of intent is not a request for
competitive proposals. All proposals received within forty-five days
after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the
Government. A determination by the government not to compete this
proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within
the discretion of the Government. Security clearance will be required
of all offerors. "This acquisition may involve data that are subject
to export control laws and regulations. A foreign disclosure review of
the technical data has not yet been accomplished. If the review
determines that data are subject to export controls, only contractors
who are registered and certified with the Defense Logistics Services
Center (DLSC) shall be provided copies of the solicitation or other
data subject to foreign disclosure restrictions. Contact the Defense
Logistics Services Center, 74 Washington Avenue N., Battle Creek,
Michigan 40917-3084 (1-800-353-3572) for further information on the
certification process. You must submit a copy of your approved DD Form
2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, with your request
