This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a written solicition will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1422E930Q98-0011 and is being issued as a Request for Quotations. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. SIC is 4212. Small business size standard is $18.5 million. This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract for Garbage Collection at Holter Lake and Log Gulch Recreation Sites on Holter Lake. Specifications/Description: Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and services for garbage collection at Holter Lake Recreation Site and Log Gulch/Departure Point Recreation Site. The recreation sites are approximately 25 miles north of Helena, Montana and approximately 55 miles south of Great Falls, Montana. Location Directions: On Interstate 15, take the Wolf Creek Exit, turn left and follow highway across Missouri River Bridge, at the end of the bridge turn right, follow paved road to Holter Lake, approximately 2 miles, continue on blacktop approximately 2-2 1/2 miles to where the road becomes a narrow gravel road with turn outs, follow for approximately 2-2 1/2 miles to Log Gulch/Departure Point Recreation Area. Contractor will furnish dumpsters which will be located through-out camping area in both sites. Labor, equipment, and services are requested for the period of May 13, 1998 through October 14, 1998, with four (4) option years. Approximately May 13, 1999 through October 14, 1999 -- approx. May 13, 2000 through October 14, 2000 -- approx. May 13, 2001 through October 14, 2001 and approx. May 13, 2002 through October 14, 2002. Garbage shall be picked up a minimum of once a week. Additional pick ups shall be made when requested during heavy use periods such asMemorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July and Labor Day. Holter Lake Site service to include rental of six (6) 3-cubic yard capacity dumpsters with plastic lids. Lids will be hinged so as to allow access to all quadrants of the containers. Log gluch/Departure Point Site service to include rental of seven (7) 3-cubic yard capacity dumpsters with plastic lids. Lids shall be hinged so as to allow access to all quandrants of the containers. Rental of dumpsters, 3-cubic yard (both sites) total 13 dumpsters. Containers shall have 4 each, six (6) inch swivel castors, 2 each, 31"x44" forward mounted polyethylene lids, 2 each, 31"x31" rear mounted polyethylene lids and 2 each, lid locking mechanism -- front and rear. The Government shall make payments monthly on all services performed during the month. The monthly rate shall include placement/removal charge, dumpster rental and weekly pick up charge per unit. (Example: 13 units at $____ per week = $__ _&llmdash;__ x weeks/months = monthly charge.) Estimate 23-24 weeks each year.
