synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 91017-108 is
issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This is a small business set-aside
and the Standard Industrial Classification for electronic capacitors
is 3675. The small business set-aside standard is 500 employees. The
solicitation line item is as follows: Item 1, Part Number CV3C-650
E/50, Vacuum Capacitor (or equal), Quantity: 2, Units: EA; Item 2,Part
Number CV3C-1000 E/50, Vacuum Capacitor (or equal), Quantity: 2,
Units: EA; Item 3, Part Number CV2C-1500 E/35, Vacuum Capacitor (or
equal), Quantity: 3, Units: EA; Item 4,Part Number CV2C-1000 E/30,
Vacuum Capacitor (or equal), Quantity: 3, Units: EA; Item 5,Part Number
CV2C-1500 E/30, Vacuum Capacitor (or equal), Quantity: 2, Units: EA.
The specific IBB requirement is for spare capacitors for use in the
B6043 Marconi mediumwave transmitter. These capacitors are known to be
available through Coment North America, Inc. F.O.B. Point: Destination
-- Inside Delivery. Address: International Broadcasting Bureau, CSF,
Room G-312, 330 C. St., SW, Washington, DC 20547. Delivery Required:
within 90 Days after contract award. Inspection and acceptance will be
at destination. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition:
