Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) plans to request proposals from
qualified firms to perform work sampling studies to produce an accurate
statistical representation of craft worker utilization rates with cause
and effect analysis. Primary assignments will involve fossil plant
outages where major maintenance or modifications work is being
performed. Data will be presented on a shift-by-shift basis each day
and include analysis and insight concerning cause and effect with
recommendations for improvement. TVA desires to select a firm that has
a history of successful experience in providing similar services.
Accordingly, in order to be considered, Respondents must have
experience in an electric generating plant outage environment and in an
environment which requires that labor be obtained through union
referral. The solicitation will be issued approximately May 1, 1998,
and proposals will be due approximately June 1, l998. Complete
