Computer Sciences Corporation plans to issue an EMERGENCY Request for Quotation (RFQ)on a Sole Make and Model basis for two (2) Sun Server and peripherals per attached Request for Quotation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Computer Sciences Corporation intends to purchase the items from Compaq or one of their authorized dealers in accordance with FAR Part 13. Interested firms have seven (7) days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities and offers will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a cost competitive basis. Responses received after the seven days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Computer Sciences Corporation to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Computer Sciences Corporation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ) and are located in the attached Word 6.0 file and includes complete description and part numbers together with Representation and Certifications, and CSC Terms and Conditions and all attachments must be completed in order for consideration.
