PRESS OFFICER CARE, one of the world's largest private international relief and development organization, seeks a Writer/Press Officer, responsible for CARE's interaction with domestic and international news media to reach a wide audience to build understanding of CARE's work. In addition, the position requires some writing for top executives and key communications regarding organizational policy and point of view on key issues. e hhheHe or she is expected to travel both domestically and overseas and may be dispatched to emergency sites to plan and implement CARE's communication in disaster response. Requirements: This is not an entry level job. We require 3 to 5 years of experience in media relations with some overseas experience and a B.A. in Liberal Arts, Political Science, International Studies, Journalism or related degree. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's degree in Liberal Arts, Political Science International Studies, Journalism or related degree and 5 to 7 years experience. Applicant must have the following skills: public affairs, management skills, writing proficiency, background in news media. In addition, a second language and photography skills are desired.
