The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is seeking sources to
indicate interest in providing software to be used in an
enterprise-wide electronic data management system (EDMS). The EDMS will
be part of an eventual Knowledge Management System that will
accommodate EDMS, imaging, workflow, and other related technologies.
The FDIC technical environment consists of multiple platforms; e.g., a
centralized IBM mainframe, a centralized and distributed client/server
network running Microsoft NT, and desktop PCs connected by a private
wide area network and numerous local area networks. Employees may need
to remotely access any of the previously detailed components. The EDMS
software must be compatible with a Microsoft client/server environment
using Microsoft Office '97 and Windows 95, and must support a SQL
Server DBMS. FDIC has a form for interested firms to complete.
