The work to be performed consists of removing a hydraulic power unit and replacing it with a more efficient unit complete with modifications to the electrical and piping systems at Building 648, East Area, NASA LaRC, Hampton, VA. A site visit will be held on May 8, 1998, 10:00 a.m. All interested offerors will meet at NASA LaRC, Building 1195A, Room 121, Hampton, VA. From there they will be escorted to the job site. NOTE: ONLY ONE SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 1731 and $7.0 Million, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C2. The anticipated release date of RFQ 1-073-GGL.1269 is on or about May 4, 1998, with an anticipated quote due date of on or about May 15, 1998.All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency.
