The areas of work are: heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, roofing, masonry & bricklaying, landscaping, windows & doors, welding, elevator & escalator, security, safety, metal work, terminal and moisture protection, demolition, asbestos removal and disposal, painting, fencing and carpet layers. The District proposes to enter into Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA) with multiple contractors in each of the construction specialties identified above. Vendors who maintain two or more in-house skill areas must identify themselves by each skill area. The purpose of this inquiry is to identify vendors interested in performing emergency and routine work in the various skills and combined skill areas. BOA's will be executed with vendors whose proposals represent the best value to the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). To ensure the needs of the DCPS are met, multiple awards in each area will be made providing maximum probability of successful emergency responses and to provide an economically viable level of business to the participating contractors. The Contractors will provide fully loaded hourly rates for the skills required.
