This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The only approved source for this solicitation is Allison Engine Co., Indianapolis, IN. FSCM: 63005 Solicitation FD2050-98-Q-46080 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Contract line item 0001 is for 109 EA of Heat Shield. Size/Dimensions: 8" x 6" x 6"; Form/Fit/Function Description: Insulation blanket front turbine bearing support is attached to the rear flange of the turbine inlet case, and insulates the front turbine sump and bearing area from high temperatures; Predominant Material of Manufacture: overall steel. Material is to be delivered to Kelly AFB, TX (FB2059) as follows: 27 EA -- Nov 99, 27 EA -- Dec 99, 27 EA -Jan 2000 and 28 EA -- Feb 2000. Inspection and Acceptance are at destination and FOB are at origin.
