This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The only approved source for this solicitation is Allison Engine Co., Indianapolis, IN. FSCM: 63005 Solicitation FD2050-98-Q-46085 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Contract line item 0001 is for 544 EA of Compressor, Vane 6th. Size/Dimensions: 180 degree arc ( half a circle) segment with an approximate 15" outer diameter band. The segment incorporates stationary vanes and a band on the inner diameter; Form/Fit/Function Description: Internal, stationary component which directs and compresses gas path air; Predominant Material of Manufacture: 400 series stainless steel. Material is to be delivered to Kelly AFB, TX (FB2059) as follows: 110 EA -- Jul 99, 110 EA -- Aug 99, 110 EA—Sep 99, 110 EA -- Oct 99 and 114 EA -- Novl 99. Inspection and Acceptance are at destination and FOB are at origin.
