NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) forX-Ray mirror system to include the following: Item 1- Molecular Structure Corporation Mirror-RP-US MSC/YALE focusing mirror system (right_port configuration). One 80 MM PT coated mirror and one 160 MM NI coated mirror; entire mirror assembly shall be enclosed in a metal box with a leaded acrylic window and shall be continously flushed with HE; mirror translation, curvature, and slit aperature positioned by remote control; remote controlled attenuate/filter wheel with flourescent screen; collimator (0.5) has X and Y rock and tilt adjustments for alignment; mirror pedestal accommodates 550 MM beam height. WBS 3.1, quantity 1 ea; Item 2-BE window S O-ring, molecular structure coporation Model No. RAB-BE-4DS020, quantity 1 each; Item 3-BE window S O-Ring, molecular structure corporation model no. RAB-BE-4DS020, quantity 1 each; Item 4-Installation, quantity 1 ea; Item 5- Collimator (0.3 MM) for MSC/Yale Mirrors, quantity 1 ea. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Molecular Structure Corporation, Woodlands, Texas for an X-ray Mirror System. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 7 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
