66 -- SALMONELLA SEROTYPING REAGENTS SOL 98C129(N) DUE 062498 POC William Bancroft, Contract Specialist, (404) 842-6776 The Government intends to issue a request for proposals for the procurement of Salmonella-specific monoclonal/polyclonal antibodies. The antibody reagents will be used by federal, state and county public health laboratories to serologically characterize (serotype) isolates of the bacterium Salmonella enterica in order to identify, track and control the spread of infection due to this organism. Nineteen products totaling 12,280 milliliters will be procured the first base contract year, and pending the availability of funds, similar amounts with some additional products will be procured over the ensuing two option years. This procurement shall be a requirements-type contract with basic one year period and two additional twelve month option periods. This procurement is issued on an unrestricted basis, and all responsible sources may submit a bid. Solicitation Package 98C129(N) will be available on or about May 20, 1998.
