SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE -- 1. EFA Great Lakes, Illinois will be executing various construction and renovation projects at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. 2. Some of these projects will require direct digital control (DDC) systems to control heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. 3. The DDC systems will be integrated into the existing base wide Landis & Staefa System 600. 4. Sources are sought to provide DDC systems as follows: Provide a DDC system as a distributed control system. 5. The system shall have stand-alone digital controllers, a communication network, and a seperate workstation computer with workstation software. 6. The control system shall be capable of down-loading and up-loading of programs between an existing remote workstation and the digital controllers. 7. The new DDC system shall be fully compatible with the existing Landis & Staefa 600 located throughout the base such that the existing DDC system can fully communicate with the new DDC systems without the use of gateways or routers and without the loss of any existing capability and flexibility. 8. The new DDC systems shall be similar to the existing system such that maintenance personnel have little problem learning and using the new system. 9. The new system devices shall have Hand/Off/Auto Override switches on output modules. 10. Provide written qualification statements to Janis E. Kaiser, Contract Specialist, at the above address, attn: Code 023A, on or before May 19, 1998. 11. In the absence of other qualifying sources, it is the intent of this agency to identify Landis & Staefa as the name brand product within the construction documents for all upcoming NTC Great Lakes, as no other type of equipment will satisfy the minimum requirements.
