synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. The proposed contract action is
for supplies for which the government intends to solicit with only one
source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify
their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit
a quotation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive
quotations. However, all quotations received within 15 days after date
of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government.
A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
government. Information received will normally be considered solely for
the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
97-04. This procurement is reserved exclusively for small business
concerns in accordance with FAR 19.502-2. The size standard for the SIC
Code 3577, Computer Peripheral Equipment, N.E.C., is no more than 1,000
employees, in accordance with FAR 19.102. Line Item 0001, Qty. 1ea.
Hardware: 96-Pin Point functional test system. Features: 96-Pin Inter
V3 signature analysis tool, 96-Pin schematic generation capabilities,
and analog option. Mfr: Diagnosys Systems, NSN: 6625014496931,
Diagnosys Systems P/N: 4270US01. Line Item 0002, Qty. 1ea. Conformal
Coating Removal System. Features: ESD protection 25V max. No read out
of ESD levels. Mfr: Diagnosys Systems, Diagnosys Systems P/N: CCR1000.
Line Item 0003, Qty. 1ea. Diagnosys Systems Option: Modem Support.
Features: Additional technical support via a remote control link,
internal 28.8K min modem, and carbon copy software pre-installed in the
system. Line Item 0004, Qty. 1ea. Breakout Box. Use: Allows a component
to be programmed and tested out of a circuit. Diagnosys Systems P/N:
PP500. Delivery shall be no later than July 10th, 1998. The provision
at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to
this acquisition. Only written offers will be accepted. Bidders must
specify their business size in their quote. The provision at FAR
52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and the
evaluation criteria in paragraph (a) of the provision shall consist of,
in descending order of importance: (i) technical capability of the
products and services offered to meet the government's requirements;
(ii) price: and (iii) transportation costs. Offerors must include a
completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation
and Certifications, -- Commercial Items, with it's offer. The clause at
FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies
to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
