R -- PROFESSIONAL, ADMINISTRATIVE, AND MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES POC Contact Point: Steve Crabtree, 202-712-4751 USAID seeks sources to explore ways to improve agency financial management systems. One option being considered is to procure a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) package. We are inviting all firms which offer financial management system software for the Federal environment to demonstrate their product at our Agency headquarters. Firms are also encouraged to submit information regarding the commercial warranties and terms and conditions for any COTS package presented. In general, a COTS solution must meet the Agency's requirements with a minimum of modification. Some Agency specific requirements which are in addition to the JFMIP core requirements are listed as follows: 1) the core application should be client server operating on the Oracle 7 relational database management system. It must operate on a hardware plaftorm utilizing UNIX operating system, 2) the client application must support both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. The minimum desktop configuration is a Pentium 90MH with 16M of memory, 3) USAID haslocations in over 75 countries worldwide. The optimal system will provide a global solution, 4) the application must fully support multiple foreign currencies at all levels of the accounting structure, including the fund account, and obligation and payment levels, 5) the application must be year 200 compliant.
