Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating
contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site
(SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina. The purpose of this notice is to
determine public interest in the licensing of the "On Line Air Monitor
that Discriminates against Radon." This invention provides a means of
sample collection of potentially radioactive airborne particulates
while preventing the unwanted accumulation of the naturally occurring
Radon progeny Bismuth 214 and Lead 214. This invention uses an on-line
sintered metal filter that detects Cesium 137 and/or Strontium 90
airborne particulate, but ignores the unwanted Radon. Interested
parties will be provided with a technical brief and instructions on
applying for a license to this technology. A typical license agreement
will contain license fees and running royalties. Responses to this
