Z -- RENOVATE WARDS 13W & 8W SOL IFB 527-27-98 DUE 092198 POC Laralee Horowitz, Contracting Officer Provide all labor, material and equipment to perform and complete Project No. 527-305, Renovate Wards 13W & 8W at the VA Medical Center, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to: demolition of existing partitions, VCT floors, ceilings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and medical gas panel as shown on the drawings. Provide new partitions, floors, HVAC, plumbing and electrical as required by the specifications and drawings. Perform asbestos removal on plaster ceilings and pipe insulations on floors below (7W & 12W). Phasing is involved for asbestos removal. Contractor cannot work on both 13W & 8W simultaneously. Provide all testing ie: medical gases, HVAC as required by specifications. Contractor is responsible for purchasing equipment such as new refrigerators, icemaker machines, narcotic cabinets and microwaves, etc. All work to be done in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. Standard Industrial Classification is 1542, General Contractors. This solicitation is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation. Construction cost range is between 1M and 3M. Completion time for project is 365 days. Request for bid packages must be made in writing or faxed to 718-630-2969.
