nondevelopmental item for M119A1 Howitzer Covers (part numbers 12593464
and 12593448), and the M102 Howitzer Cover (part number 12000773).
These covers are designed to protect the various components from the
elements during towing and storage. A commercia cover manufacturer
should be able to produce these items. Material should be in accordance
with, or equivalent to those called out in the technical data package.
NOTE: ECP L7A2081 allows alternative materials for the M119A1 Howitzer
Covers. If review of the technical data package is required, contact
one of the two points of contact listed below for a copy of the current
CD Rom containing all the drawings and specifications. Commercial
standards/practices for sewing, stitching, fasteners, webbing, cord,
grommets, etc., can be used as long as they withstand outdoor use in a
temperature range of minus 50 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sizing of components shall be in accordance with the technicaldata
package, or can be sized from government equipment. Any offeror having
an item which meets the above characteristics, in whole or in part
should submit the following information to the points of contact listed
in this advertisement. Provide the item description and performance
specification which addresses all the required capabilities, and any
other salient characteristics; estimated unit cost, production rates,
delivery schedules, quantity produced to date, customers, and
supporting commercial literature. Provide data to identify any special
training requirements for maintenance and operation. Describe what
training materials or commercial manuals are provided to users.
Describe your warranty program. Any contractors interested in
participating in this market research must provide response to this
