These covers are designed to protect the various components from the elements during towing and storage. A commercia cover manufacturer should be able to produce these items. Material should be in accordance with, or equivalent to those called out in the technical data package. NOTE: ECP L7A2081 allows alternative materials for the M119A1 Howitzer Covers. If review of the technical data package is required, contact one of the two points of contact listed below for a copy of the current CD Rom containing all the drawings and specifications. Commercial standards/practices for sewing, stitching, fasteners, webbing, cord, grommets, etc., can be used as long as they withstand outdoor use in a temperature range of minus 50 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Sizing of components shall be in accordance with the technicaldata package, or can be sized from government equipment.
