E-MAIL: Jerome G. Misch, jerry.misch@ssc.nasa.gov. NASA/SSC intends to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for Restoration of the SSC Locks at the Stennis Space Center. The work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment and materials necessary for the Restoration of the SSC Locks. The restoration will include the transportation and installation of stop logs, installation of tainter valve bulkheads, de-watering of lock, removal and disposal of spoils in lock, prepare and paint areas, replace existing timbers, and replace doors, frames and thresholds, louvers, roof ventilators and paint areas in and around the pumphouse. Also, remove and replace doors and exterior at the upper and lower gate control booths, and removal and transportation of stop logs to Columbus, Mississippi in accordance with the Specification and Drawings. The solicitation will be released via the NASA Acquisition Internet Services (NAIS). Hard copies of the Solicitation, Spoecification and Drawings will be provided to those firms requesting a copy. It shall be the responsibility of each offeror to monitorNAIS for solicitation releases as the solicitation will be released as soon as practicable whether prior to or subsequent to June 17, 1998. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The SIC Code 1629 with a Size Standard of $17M. The Government's estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000.
