Reynolds, (315) 772-6510 (Site Code DAKF36) Information is sought on potential sources and vendor capabilities for the purpose of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and appliances necessary to perform all operations in connection with the conversion of building mechanical systems from a high temperature water source to a natural gas heat source, Fort Drum, New York. The contractor shall convert existing mechanical systems in 84 buildings from high temperature water thermal energy source to a natural gas source. Existing high temperature water heat exchangers, high temperature water domestic water heaters and associated piping within each mechanical room shall be removed. These systems shall be reconfigured to function using natural gas fired boilers as the heating source. New domestic water heaters shall utilize boiler water as the heat source or may be stand-alone gas-fired equipment. The actual design, layout and installation of the converted systems will be the contractor's responsibility. Sizing of equipment will be based on the minimal information provided in the performance specifications and on the drawings. Each facility shall be provided with two natural gas boilers, each sized for 60% of the load, for a total operational capacity of 120% unless otherwise indicated. This procurement is estimated to be more than $10,000,000. The solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. Total construction period is 180 calendar days.
