S -- LONG TERM TEMPORARY RESIDENTIAL CARE AND SECURED DETENTION FACILITY, HOUSTON, TEXAS SOL ACD-98-P-0022 DUE 072298 POC Contact Maurice Shook, Contract Specialist, Tel. 214/905-5392, Fax. 214/767-7458 The Government has the requirement for long-term temporary residential care and secure detention of undocumented aliens who are being detained pursuant to violations of the Immigration Laws of the U.S. Many of the aliens being detained may have substantial and varied criminal histories. One or more successful contractors shall provide one or more suitable facilities capable of housing at least 600 adult male, 100 adult female, 80 male juvenile, and 20 female juvenile detainees. The Government is prepared to guarantee payment of up to 75% of the contract detention costs. Contractor's facility(s) must be located within 25 miles of the Houston, Texas, Bush Intercontinental Airport. The successful contractor(s) shall provide all necessary management, labor, supervision, equipment and material in order to provide, operate and maintain the facility(s), and provide the required services for the detainees. As a result of this solicitation, it is intended to award one or more indefinite quantity contracts for an initial base period with four (4) additional one year option periods, which if exercised, could extend the contract performance periods to a total of five years. All acceptable offers will be evaluated based upon technical proposals and the total costs for the base period plus the four (4) option periods.
