david_chesnut@fmso.navy.mil. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San
Diego requests information on industry capability to fabricate a Cargo
Hook Restraint System (CHRS) for the Zodiac F-470/G-470 model Combat
Rubber Raiding/Reconnaissance Craft (CRRC), NSN-1940-01-262-3993. The
CHRS is intended to allow fuel, motors and personal gear to be placed
inside the CRRC, which is then attached to the underside of a SH-60
helicopter via cargo hook for airdrop insertion capability. The CHRS
shall include a modified aluminum I-beam with cargo hook assembly and
cargo tie-downs. The modified I-beam is bolted through the CRRC's
subfloor via an aluminum base plate using marine grade, corrosion
resistant bolts. The modified I-beam also is bolted to the existing
transom (different angles on F/G models) and TBD bow board. The entire
system is less than ten feet in length. The Navy wishes to obtain
preliminary price, delivery, production capability and other market
information for procurement planning purposes. The Navy will provide
its preliminary CHRS drawings to those potential small business
concerns responding to this notice. The Navy ultimately anticipates
acquiring approximately 170 production units. Intended SIC Code is
3441. See CBD Notes 1 and 26. (0160) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0253 19980611\34-0003.SOL)
