Project Numbers 940147A through 940147G. Period of Performance is
different for each period and is listed further in the desciption. SIC
1542 SIZE STANDARD $17.0M This requirement was previously issued as a
part of Solicitation Number F33601-97-B0019 which has been canceled.
Bidders are hereby put on notice that there are significant changes to
the specifications and drawings since the original release under
F33601-97-B0019. In order to ensure that bids adequately reflect the
project, contractor's must download Solicitation Number
F33601-98-B-9003 with all revised attachments. Contractor shall furnish
all labor, equipment, materials, devices and accessories and perform
all operations necessary or required to renovate the interior of
Upgrade of First & Second Floors South Wing IAW Project 940147A through
G including all demolition and work associated with the Comprehensive
Interior Design. The following is a brief summary of the base bid and
optional line items that will beissued under subject solicitation. Base
Bid -- Interior Renovation of the First and Second Floors, excluding
Fire Protection System, South Wing, Facility 20022 (performance period
120 days); Option 1 -- Renovate Stairwells, Construction Elevator, and
Infrastructure Required to support Restrooms and Sprinkler System
(performance period 160 days); Option 2 -- Comprehensive Interior
Design including Signage (performance period 120 days); Option 3 --
Complete Disassembly, Transportation and Reassembly of Systems
Furniture (performance period 90 days); Option 4 -- Purchase and
Installation of Systems Furniture (performance period 90 days); Option
5 -- Purchase and Installation of Loose Furniture, Equipment, Artwork,
Signage and Plants, First Floor (performance period 90 days); and,
Option 6 -- Purchase and Installation of Loose Furniture, Equipment,
Artwork, Signage and Plants, Second Floor (performance period 90 days).
NOTES: 1. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be
available on or about 01 JUL 98. The Internet address for the project

will not be provided. You may however download and print the file from
the library documents listed from the Internet page. 3. There is no
fee for this solicitation. 4. One hard copy of the solicitation will be
available for review in Building 260, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. 5. An
option to register is available from the Internet page. You are not
required to register. However, when you register, you will receive
notice of any amendments and/or addendum's that may be issued to the
solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your
responsibility to check the Internet site for any changes to the
solicitation. You may also register from the options listed on the
Internet site as a source for this solicitation. 6. You shall provide
a signed copy of the SF 1442 at the time and place specified in the
solicitation for bid opening. Bids will be publicly opened. Sealed
envelopes containing bids shall be marked to show the bidder's name and
address, the solicitation number, and the date and time bids are due.
7. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment
are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent
to subcontract with these contractors. Bids prepared by Debarred,
Suspended or otherwise ineligible contractors are at the risk and
expense of the contractor. 8. Any questions regarding this solicitation
should be submitted no later than 5 working days prior to the bid

been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or
potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the
Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements,
and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Existence
of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program
director or the contracting officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does
not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of
proposals or the source selection process and, therefore, for routine
