Negotiations may be held with one or more offerors but not necessarily with all offerors, or all offerors in competitive range if one is established. Comparative evaluations of offerors may be made. Award will be based upon assessment of price and other factors as listed in the Statement of Work (See Addendum To Commerce Business Daily Synopsis). Vendors may also be required to make a brief presentation to NASA/GSFC officials prior to selection to address questions related to their proposal. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. However, all interested vendors can obtain a copy of the Statement of Work from the WEB Address below. Interested vendors shall submit a proposal addressing each item in the Statement of work in order to be given further consideration for this procurement. The Contractor shall provide an on-site interpreter for Goddard Space Flight Center and NASA Headquarters to perform sign language and oral interpreting and transliterating services for 30 hours per week. The contractor will provide the onsite interpreter from a pool of 2 to 5 interpreters that are each knowledgeable about GSFC and NASA HQ employees who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. The FOB point shall be destination. The period of performance will be from August 1, 1998 through July 31, 1999 with up to four one year unilateral options. The place of delivery will be NASA/GSFC/Headquarters located in Greenbelt, MD or Washington,D.C.
