listed here is UNRESTRICTED. Standard industrial code is 1751, size
standard is $7 million. All responsible sources are encouraged to
submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. Project
consists of the removal of existing metal and wood windows and adjacent
trim. The windows will be replaced with aluminum insulated windows and
aluminum trim for all six (6) Washington, DC Public schools. Existing
window guards will be removed and discarded. First floor and basement
levels will receive metal fabricated window guards. Some windows and
window guards will be accessible for rescue and ventilation per NFPA
101 Life Safety Code. Incidental work to include new metal supports for
existing A/C units, patching of masonry, cleaning, priming and
repainting of existing metal louvers and doors, and possible lead paint
removal. The windows are not of standard sizes and the building were
constructed between 1880 and 1943. Estimated cost of proposed window
replacements is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Period of
performance is 215 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed.
Contract type is Firm Fixed Price. Specs $20.00 half size, $29.75 full
size per set; Non-refundable. Make check or money order payable to
FAO, USAED-Baltimore and mail to attention of CENAB-CT, no cash
accepted. The Corps of Engineers does not accept personal checks, only
