Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Arcata Resource Area, California has
a requirement for cutting of competing trees and brush in order to
provide more growing space for a selected number of well spaced trees.
The contractor shall select a maximum of 250 stems of conifers and
hardwoods per acre conforming to a minimum approximate 13 x 13 foot
spacing and cut all competing trees and brush on four units consisting
of a total of 63 acres. The project area which is approximately 35
miles eastward along Highway 36 from Alton, CA on the Larabee
Buttes/Butte Creek access roads. Pursuant to Public Law 104-208, which
waives full and open competition for Jobs-in-the-Woods projects, only
offers received from offerors located in the following counties will
be considered for award: Washington: Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan,
Kittitas, Yakima, Klickitat, Skamania, Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum,
Pacific, Lewis, Pierce, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson,
Clallam, Kitsap, Island, San Juan, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and
Whatcom; Oregon: Wasco, Jefferson, Deschutes, Lake, Klamath, Jackson,
Josephine, Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion,
Yamhill, Polk, Clackamas, Multnomah, Hood River, Tillamook, Washington,
Columbia, and Clatsop; California: Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn,
Lake, Trinity, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino. Performance time is
