Two (2) FTEE locum tenens anesthesiologists at the VA Medical Center, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, board-certified in ANesthesiology, and able to provide full scope of anesthesia services, including routine general and regional anesthesia for a veteran population, preoperative evaluation of high-risk patients, and consultative services regarding airway management and sedation issues in the intensive care units. All surgical disciplines are represented, but no O.B. or pediatrics. One (1) position requires advanced training or experience in anesthesia for cardiac surgery. Services required may include periodic night call. Experience in working in an academic environment with anesthesiology residents and CRNA's is viewed positive. Services will be required for the base period from 09/01/98 through 11/30/98; 1st option period from 12/01/98 -- 02/28/99; 2nd option period from 03/01/99 -- 05/31/99; 3rd option period from 06/01/99 -- 08/31/99; and 4th option period from 09/01/99 -- 11/30/99.
