Edwards AFB, CA has an immediate need for a qualified Health Promotion Dietitian for Community Health Education service to Government beneficiaries. Contractor is to provide care at the Edwards Air Force Base hospital and Health and Wellness Center (HAWC) to consist of but is not limited to planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating Health and Wellness Center and basewide nutrition and other health and wellness programs. Contractor care shall cover the range of services provided in a civilian medical treatment facility. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) which will be issued at time of solicitation, and professional standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO). All interested parties must possess a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited 4-year college or university and also have a Master's in Education, C.F.C.S. and have completed an accredited dietetic internship (coordinated undergraduate program or internship). Each applicant must be able to provide a valid, current, unrestricted state dietetic license and certificate of registration by the American Dietetic Association (ADA). Each applicant must also be able to pass a criminal background check. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The SIC code is 8049, size standard is $5 million. Period of performance will be from time of award until 30 September 1999. The anticipated solicitation issue date is 23 June 98. Telephone requests will not be honored.
