The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has a requirement for a pre-fabricated trail bridge to span the West Fork of the Chattooga River, a National Wild and Scenic River. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation identified as 8-3-9~-22 is issue~ as a request for quotations. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: one prefabricated foot trail bridge 6' by 111' constructed of cor-ten weathering steel with a wood deck. Overall appearance must be compatible with the wild and scenic nature of the river corridor. Minimum live load, 85 PSF Minimum dead load, 40 PSF. Minimum rail height of 42" with 6" maximum openings. Toe plates are required. DELIVERY: FOB Destination, 90 days after award, delivered and off-loaded at the project location approximately 20 miles east of Clayton, GA.
