The base bid item cosists of: (a)Survey R/W o5/23 centerline (0+00 to 116+00) and cross sectionsat twenty five foot intervals. Establish and maintain vertical and horizontal control for all work; (b)Provide bituminous concrete pavement, partial and full depth repair; (c)Provide bituminous concrete pavement, crack cleaning and sealing; (d)Cold mill bituminous asphalt overlay; (e) Provide bituminous asphalt overlay; (f)Paint runway markings, R/W 05/23 (centerline, edge lines, displaced threshold on the 05 end, threshold on the 23 end, numbers, touchdown zone markings, fixed distance markers, runway/taxi identification numbers/letters/turn arrows):White with retro-reflective glass beads. Runway hold positions (2) on runway 15/33: Yellow with non-reflective glass beads. This work includes markings on 1000 foot Portland concrete ends (2); (g)Paint runway markings R/W 05/23 (centerline and edge lines to hold positions, runway identification numbers/turn arrows):White with retro-reflective glass beads. Runway hold positions (2) on 05/23. Yellow with non-reflective glass beads; and (h) Paint taxiway markings (Pads 05 & 23) (centerline to instrument hold positions and hold position, edge lines, runway/taxiway identification numbers/letters/turn arrows, ground receiver checkpoint markings); Yellow with non-reflective glass beads. Additive #1 consists of: Concrete Runway Ends, provide Portland concrete joint cleaning by sawcutting and sealing same. Additive #2 consists of: same additive #1 except it is for Pad 23. Additive #3 consists of: same as #1 & #2 except it is for Pad 05. Additive #4 consists of: Lighted Distance Markers, patch existing mounting leg holes in the distance marker concrete pads. Provide new distance marker signs, mounting legs, hardware and isolation transformers, electrical connections, system complete and operational. Bid issue will be 15 July 98. Bid opening will be 19 August 98. Performance periodwill be one hundred eighty (180) calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
