Smith, smithlk@pwcgl.navfac.navy.mil. PRESOLICITATION: The work includes the construction of approximately 2400 S.F. of office space on the second floor. The new office space is complete with new walls, ceiling, lighting, carpet, and HVAC system. Existing steel windows located on the basement, first and second floors are to be replaced with a thermally broken aluminum window system with insulating low-E glazing. The existing aluminum windows are to remain. The exterior masonry joints are to be sealed and tuckpointed as required. The west loading dock is to receive new dock bumpers, metal edge guards, handrails and repairs to the spalling concrete. The interior sliding fire doors are to be refurbished with new operating hardware. The three existing hydraulic elevators are to be repaired as required to correct the elevator inspector's recorded deficiencies. The elevator work includes new controllers and new hydraulic pumps. Limited hazardous material abatement and control is required for lead-containing paint. A hazardous material investigation report is included. Sprinkler heads are to be replaced throughout the building with the exception of the existing first floor office area. Domestic hot and cold water piping is to be replaced along with selective fixture replacement. Some of the piping insulation to be replaced contains asbestos. Electrical work includes new distribution panels and replacemnt electrical panels. A fire alarm system is to be added. The estimated construction cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. This project will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. The SIC Code for this project is 1542 and the FSC is Z149.
