Purchasing Agent, (202) 767-2374. Naval Research Laboratory has a
requirement for one ultra high vacuum micromanipulator, capable of 3D
movement with a Z-axis range of at least 200mm and resolution of at
most 0.5 micron and independent X and Y-axis range of at least +/-25mm
and resolution of at most 0.5 micron. The X, Y, and Z units must be
modular structures on 8" flanges with signal ports and expansion
capability for additional signal ports. The Z-axis channel must have a
50mm clear bore regardless of XY axis position. Vacuum performance to
10 -11 mbar and bakeable to 230 degrees Celsius with no materials
exposed to vacuum except stainless steel and PTFE. Computer controlled
stepper motors for all 3 axes with feed back and DOS or MAC compatible
coding. The procurement is for a complete system including cables, to
be delivered fully wired and cleaned for UHV.
