17 -- FERRITE GRID PANELS SOL n0042198q5501 DUE 081298 POC Francine Keys (301) 757-2528 The Patuxent River NAWC has a requirement for an Ferrite tile Panels. This ferrite grid panels is to attentuate reflections from an aircraft transmitter pod during ground testing. A minimum of 15 dB return loss is required from 30.0 MHz to 40.0 MHz, and minimum of 20 dB return loss is required from 40.0 MHz to 1.0 GHz. The panels shall be capable of handling the power necessary to generate a 200 V/m electric field throughout the frequency range. The minimum area of coverage is 400 square feet. The panels must be configured to minimize performance degradation between 30.0 MHz and 300.0 MHz due to the presence of gaps between the panels occurring during installation.
