17 -- REPAIR OF REPAIRABLES IN SUPPORT OF THE PORTABLE HYDRAULIC POWER SUPPLY UNITS FOR THE V-22 AIRCRAFT SOL N68335-98-R-0193 DUE 080198 POC Michael Markle (732) 323-7339 NAWCADLKE has been tasked to initiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Hydraulics International Incorporated for Repair of Repairables (ROR)in support of the Portable Hydraulic Power Supply Units, P/N 3483AS100-1. The absence of Navy organic depot support, and critical mission requirement, make it imperative to procure product support from Hydraulics International Inc. for the repair/maintenance of the equipment listed above. The need for this ROR is to provide the Navy with a means to establish a prompt turn-around repair for the equipment needed to satisfy the V-22 mission. The Government intends to negotiate this BOA under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Hydraulics International Inc. is the designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer of the repairable. Firms that recognize and can repair/maintain the Portable Hydraulic Power Supply Unit are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
