Grey Contracting Officer 703/607-6905 The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking information in this CBD "Sources Sought" announcement for the availability of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Medium Grade Messaging products. Medium grade is analogous to the emerging business quality messaging. Products sought will adhere to set profiled commercial internet standards (largely IETF developed). These profiles are available at www.disa.mil/D2/dms. All responsible sources are invited, at no cost or obligation to the Government, to provide technical information for evaluation. Please submit responses via the web page no later than August 30, 1998. Individual responses to this request for information that may contain company proprietary information must be marked accordingly. Such proprietary information will not be released outside the Government. In the event that the Government chooses to evaluate products in a laboratory, such evaluations will be at no cost to the Government. The Government may revise its acquisition strategy and solicitation requirements based on industry responses. The purpose of this request for information is to refine the profiles and to better understand the commercial offerings. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this "Sources Sought". Also, this "Sources Sought" shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government for any follow on acquisitions.
