THOMAS Contracting Officer (Site Code DAKF19) The project consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and transportation and performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications to repair the HVAC systems in Building 6914, Fort Riley, KS. The required work encompasses but is not limited to the following work: Remove lay-in suspended ceiling-portions to be reinstalled and portions to be disposed of; provide new roof hatch in mechanical room; install/reinstall lay-in suspended ceiling; provide new wall penetrations for mechanical and electrical work; paint and patch existing wall penetrations; provide pavers on roof from new roof hatch to all new rooftop units; provide lintels for mechanical wall penetrations; provide framing and columns for new rooftop units; provide ladder for access to roof at new roof hatch; remove existing HVAC systems including air handling units, ductwork shown to be removed, and controls; remove existing exhaust fans and ductwork; remove existing piping shown to be removed; remove packaged heat pump; furnish and install new HVAC systems including rooftop units, air handling units, ductwork, and controls; furnish and install new exhaust fans and ductwork; furnish and install new bypass piping; remove existing power feeds to equipment to be removed including: air handling units, exhaust fans, control panels, and packaged heat pump; remove light fixtures in suspended ceiling to be removed; furnish and install new power feeds to new equipment including rooftop units, air handling unit, exhaust fans, and control panels; and reinstall/install new light fixtures. Proposed contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. Sealed Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 23 Jul 98 and bid opening will be held on or about 22 Aug 98. Estimated cost of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1711. The procurement is unrestricted. The small business size standard for this project is $7.0M.
