proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The
Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method
(commercial items). SIC Code 2819; small business size standard 1,000
employees. Furnish approximately 4,000 to 8,000 tons of dry alum
purified ground, in bulk, suitable for use as a coagulant in the
purification of municipal water supplies. Also, furnish liquid alum,
minimum 0 tons, maximum 4,000 tons. Furnish water-soluble aluminum 17%
AL203 by dry weight ton, shall contain water-soluble aluminum of not
less than 8.25% +/- 0.1%. Contract is for a one year period beginning
1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999. The total estimated amount is
between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. In order to
comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors
must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be
considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial registration
