COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 30,1998 PSA#2148FEDCIO AND IRMCO IT TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE GREAT EXHIBITING OPPORTUNITY
for companies with IT Solutions with attendees involving high-level
government officials who are decision makers and represent all large
and small agencies. The premier gathering of the government's top and
senior executives and employees will be a joint conference in
conjunction with a technology exhibition called the IT Innovative
Solutions Showcase held at the Founder's Inn and Conference Center in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, September 1-4, 1998 This year, the Federal
Chief Information Officers Council will join the attendees of the 37th
Interagency Resources Management Conference. This joint conference
(FedCIO and IRMCO) will allow the senior levels in government to
interact in a focused and unencumbered environment to address the
hottest IT topics and cross- agency issues facing the Federal, state
and international IT communities. An important objective of the joint
conference will be to advance the strategic priorities of the CIO
Council through dialogue, debate, and discussion among the government's
senior executives and seasoned practitioners. IRMCO is typically
attended by approximately 300 of the senior information resources and
records management officials in government (i.e., Senior Executives and
GS-15's and 14's). It has a long tradition for being the place for top
officials to upgrade their knowledge on the most relevant topics
facing the information management community, and to network with their
peers in other agencies. FedCIO will be attended by most of the
CIO/Deputy CIOs in the Federal Government, and many of their staffs. Ed
DeSeve, the Chairman of the CIO Council and the Director for Management
at the Office of Management and Budget, and Jim Flyzik, the Vice
Chairman of the Council and CIO of the Department of Treasury, will
attend the joint conference and play major roles. This year, the joint
conference will include general sessions, many breakout sessions and
a two-day exhibition called the IT Innovative Solutions Showcase. The
exhibits will feature information technology applications, resulting
from successful industry/government partnerships, which have
applicability across government, agencies and organizations. The
National Conference Services, Inc. (NCSI) are pleased to announce the
