The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Visual Numerics Inc, 9990 Richmond Ave, Suite 400, Houston TX 77042-4548, under the authority FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures Threshold. The contract will be awarded by oral quotation and the anticipated award date is 20 AUG 98. The proposed contract action is for the renewal of PV WAVE ADVANTAGE 6.1 software subscription for a period of 3 years. Subscription should include technical support, phone as well as electronically, and upgrades. All responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. This information must be received by the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon reponses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the government. All responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide these products.
