Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a
requirement for a Wallace Coast model # 1004RDIX Pipe Bending Machine
on behalf of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment (PESO) in Annapolis,
MD. The Pipe Bending machine required is capable of bending 2-1/2"
through 4" IPS with a twenty foot load length in both the right and
left hand positions (), and utilizes an overhead clamp mounted on the
bend die. This system shall be delivered 180 days after contract award
to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. The Navy intends
to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Wallace Coast
Machinery Division -- Jesse Engineering Co. Wallace Coast is the only
source that can provide the Pipe Bending machine capable of clockwise
and counter-clockwise bends. This notice of intent is not a request for
competitive proposals. However, interested persons may identify their
interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit
proposals. The government will consider all responses received within
seven days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination
by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
