Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement for on-call maintenance
services of Nucletron's Oldelft Simulix Radiotherapy simulator (serial
# 9631619) located at the Radiology Department at the National Naval
Medical Center in Bethesda MD. Inclusive of all costs the contract
shall provide preventive maintenance and service maintenance. The
preventive maintenance shall include the following: 4-simulator service
visits, all scheduled original equipment manufactured replacement
parts, replacement of worn parts. The services shall include the
following: unlimited emergency service calls for simulator within 24
hours, updates and installation of Firmware/Software, full 24 hour
customer telephone support, and all parts & loaner components including
glassware. The Navy intends to negotiate and award a sole source
contract to Nucletron Corporation. This notice of intent is not a
request for competitive proposals. However, interested persons may
identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or
submit proposals. The government will consider all responses received
within seven days after date of publication of this synopsis. A
determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract
based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of
