The Va is seeking a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the proposed contract. Work will include, but is not limited to, the following: demolition, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior walls, various interior finishes, and replacement of exterior windows. There will be a pre-bid site inspection on September 1, 1998 at 10 AM in Building 17 Room 110 at the American Lake Division, Tacoma, WA. Contract completion time will be 330 calendar days from the date (on or about November 15, 1998) that the Government turns the construction site over to the contractor. Estimated cost range is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. The VA anticipates awarding firm, fixed price contract. This will not be a small business set aside solicitation. The Standard Industrial Code is 1542. Construction document bid packages will be available on August 13, 1998. Requests for bid packages will be sent to: Ford Graphics; 1535 Fourth Ave. S. Suite E; Seattle, WA 98134. There will be a non-refundable $100 fee for each set of solicitation documents. The solicitation document request must include the solicitation number: "663-54-98" and title: "Renovate 3rd Floor of Bldg 61 at American Lake Div, Tacoma, WA". Requests of solicitation documents which do not have the $100 fee will be returned to the requestor unaccompanied by the solicitation documents.
