NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Offers for Modifications to Building F-10 For Accessibility at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: The addition of a new, two-story masonry elevator shaft and equipment room to an existing building. The addition shall be complete with foundation, metal siding exterior finish, and a new hydraulic elevator system. Work includes new car, drilling piston well, control equipment, and building finishes. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, scaffolding, rigging, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 135 calendar days after notice to proceed. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1796. The corresponding size standard is $7,000,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about 8/17/98 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 9/16/98. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $50.00. Requests are to be forwarded to: NASA/GSFC, Sandra S.
