"readverstisement" of a synopsis for Services in Support of Large-Scale
Organizational Transformations which was previously published in the
Commerce Business Daily on October 20, 1997. This solicitation has been
on hold since January of 1998 pending programmatic decisions affecting
its release. The USGS is seeking a Contractor with demonstrated
experience and a documented, research-based method for implementing and
deploying large-scale organizational transformation efforts. The sought
after approach is integrated, comprehensive, and strategic encompassing
past, present, future, and multiple organizational fronts and systems.
Assistance is required at the USGS executive leadership levels in the
areas of communication, culture change, creating training sessions for
USGS councils, infrastructure, transformation design team coaching and
facilitation, learning and development, senior executive assessment
and coaching, measurement team coaching and facilitation, and
benchmarking. Services will beperformed at the USGS site in Reston,
Virginia and the Contractor's facility. Travel to other USGS sites
located throughout the United States will also be required. The
Government anticipates awarding a single contract with one base year
and four (4) one-year option periods. RFP NO. 1434-HQ-98-SS-00409 will
be made available on/about August 13, 1998, via Internet at the
following address: http://www.usgs.gov/contracts. Offerors shall advise
the Contracting Officer via written notification of their intent to
access the solicitation. A telefaxed notification is acceptable.

responded to the previous synopsis need not provide subsequent
notification of their intent to access the solicitation. In the event
an offeror does not have Internet access, a written request for the
solicitation must be submitted (telephone requests will not be
honored). Written requests to the Contracting Officer including a
suggested method of distribution (i.e., diskette formatted for
WordPerfect 6.0., hard copy) may be made by telefax. Offerors who
responded to the previous synopsis need not submit a second request for
the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which
will be considered. This is a 100% small business set-aside. See Notes
