P.O. Box 182 Parker, Colorado 80134, for the acquisition of 1 copy of ICE PAK/SPACE CUBE and DYNA-CUBE, which includes maintenance, installation and training support, for delivery to DMC Mechanicsburg. Requested delivery date for the software is 30 days after contract award (earlier delivery date is desired). The period of performance for maintenance is one year from receipt of the software. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed software products or any products that can perform the following: The software required will have to provide the ability to read any amount, be it days or years, of SMF data. Extract information concerning data set allocation, size, format, expiration and dates. This data must then be applied to a history file that will reflect our current storage needs. Initial reporting facilities must generate reports that will indicate an efficient design for the implementation of the storage, management and data classes required to maintain the current DF/SMS storage management facility. Further reporting must provide information that will alert the staff to data changes that require maintenance to the class structures, and inefficient use of storage facilities. In addition the product must also provide a method of changing both test and production JCL to add or change the statements necessary to allocate non-vsam datasets with the proper class information. This needs to be selective by job or proc or mass changes for entire libraries. Allocations by job or proc need to have the capability of inserting the class information at allocation time, using the history file and/or allocation JCL, plus maintenance must indicate their interest within 3 days of this announcement.
