The only known approved source for this requirement is Pratt and Whitney. Rotor repair will include establishing a rotor repair shop in Government owned spaces utilizing the contractor owned J-52 tooling, test equipment and support equipment necessary to repair/overhaul -408A turbines and compressors. Firm fixed prices will be established for the rotor repairs utilizing contractor furnished material. Quantities of each component required for the EA-6B fleet are established each year at: Ti Turbine NIIN (01-350-6640) (55 units), T2 Turbine NIIN (01-411-1587) (33 units), N1 Compressor NIIN (01-381-2565) (56 units), and N2 Compressor NIIN (01-421-9947) (79 units). The contractor shall identify and propose Logistics Upgrades as part of this program in order to improve reliability, maintainability, availability and/or reduce inventory of the system. Additionally, the contractor shall function as a Virtual Prime Vendor to provide and/or coordinate the supply support effort for the full range of consumable parts required to support the J52 engine at Whidbey Island, and may include efforts to improve order fulfillment, cycle-time, product quality and total cost.
