The period shall be for base year plus 2 option years. Base year to start in early Fiscal Year 1999. The rental and service is for the following: (1) Motorola local numeric pagers with coverage in Baltimore, MD, Washington, D.C., Eastern Shore, MD, Ocean City, MD and Northern Virginia for 215 currently activated pagers plus an additional 35 pagers to be activated as needed; (2) Motorola local numeric pagers including voicemail option with coverage in Baltimore, MD, Washington, D.C., Eastern Shore, MD, Ocean City, MD and Northern Virginia for 13 currently activated pagers plus an additional 7 pagers to be activated as needed; and (3) Motorola nationwide alpha numeric pagers with "800" toll free option for 18 currently activated pagers plus an additional 2 pagers to be activated as needed. Voicemail option for 20 pagers for Motorola nationwide alpha numeric pagers. Broadcast alert enhancement feature for 4 pagers for nationwide alpha numeric pagers. Universal Connectivity Charges (UCC) a tariff for data services on all units. Loss protection on all units shall be provided at no charge. There is no guarantee that any or all of the 44 estimated additional pagers listed above will ever be activated. For these 44 pagers, payment of monthly fee shall commence when the pager is activated. The awardee shall be responsible for providing equipment and paging service.
