Phased work includes but is not limited to demolition, earthwork, site utilities and site improvements, paving, landscaping and irrigation. Work also includes concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, steel structure, steel joists and decking, roof membrane over roof insulation, sheet metal, masonry, metal stud partitions, insulation, gypsum board walls and ceilings, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, glass storefront system, painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, sectional overhead doors, metal fabrications, toilet partitions and accessories, signage, lockers, loading dock equipment, fire detection systems, security systems, electrical, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning complete and ready to use. Phasing of cnstruction will be required to accommodate continued Postal operations during contruction. Estimatedcost range is $1,100,000 -- $1,300,000 and construction time is 300 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority Owned, and Woman-Owned Businesses. The contractor shall subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontractos. The offeror must include documentation from the offeror's bonding agent indicating their bonding capability at the time offer is due. Performance bonds in the amount of 100% and Payment bonds in the amount of 50% will be required from the successful offeror within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on September 4, 1998.
